What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can remember something between pages or visits. Some are needed for the site to work. Others, such as analytics and advertising cookies, are optional and are only set if you agree.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner asks which optional cookies you are happy for us to use. “Accept all” and “Reject all” are equally easy, and you can choose category by category under “Manage settings”. Until you choose, no optional cookies are set.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. We ask again after six months, or sooner if we change the cookies we use.
Strictly necessary cookies
These make the site work and keep it secure, so they do not need your consent and cannot be switched off.

Cloudflare, which protects this site and runs the anti-spam check on our enquiry forms, may also set short-lived security cookies to tell people apart from automated bots. They are not used to track you or for advertising.
Analytics cookies (optional)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and how people find the site, so we can improve it. We see totals and trends, not who you are.

Advertising cookies (optional)
With your consent, we use Google Ads to measure which of our adverts lead to enquiries, so we spend our advertising budget on what works.

Preferences cookies (optional)
We do not currently set any preferences cookies. If we add any, we will list them here and ask for your consent first.
Before you choose
Google Analytics and Google Ads load through Google Tag Manager in a restricted mode until you make a choice. In that mode they set no cookies and do not recognise you. If you reject analytics or advertising cookies, they stay that way.
Separately, the site measures how quickly its pages load for visitors. This sets no cookie and records nothing that could identify you.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies in their settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as the enquiry forms, from working.
